Taggie Blankie!

I am so in love with this blankie!!! I found this lime green minky dot material on clearance and knew exactly what I would make with it! It was super simple after I took the time to find the perfect ribbons to match!
How adorable is that??!?!
Of course I didn't take any during pictures but I still have several more to make so I will try next time and post again later!

Easy Shredded Chicken

I am all for easy!!
I boiled some chicken breast for dinner (crockpot cheesy chicken spaghetti), threw some onion powder and salt and pepper on it and mixed it up with my hand mixer!!
You read that right, My hand mixer, straight from the boiling pot! No waiting until it's cool enough to touch!! See my results below!

Love it!!!! I may actually start boiling and freezing shredded chicken for soups and casseroles now!

Homemade laundry detergent

I am in love with my laundry detergent!!! I came across a recipe for homemade laundry detergent and had to try it out because let's face it, I'm cheap! 3 things, that's it.... Borax, Washing soda, and fels-naptha soap...all which I found right beside each other near the fabric softener. You can grate the soap or cut up with a knife and mix with 1 cup of each powder in your blender! It looks like i'm crazy because it doesn't look like a lot but the best part is, you only use 1-2 tablespoons per load. And you need to buy an extra bar of soap to keep while because it is the best stain remover, just wet the soap and rub on stain and throw in washer! My 3 yr old spilled red juice down her shirt and it took it out with NO trace of a stain! And i didn't even do it right away, I waited until I was washing all the clothes!
Until next time....

Swaddle Blankies!

Last night I made 3 swaddle sized blankets!!
I love the way the turned out!
They are WAY bigger then those packaged receiving blankets everyone gives you as a necessity. I bought 1 1/8 yard of flannel material for each one. All you need to do is fold over twice on each side and sew down!!! That's it!! They cost about $6-7 each if you don't have a coupon for the fabric!
They will make great gifts for any baby shower!

Stay tuned for my next project of minky dot taggie blankies!!

Beginning a Blog!

I have attempted blogging before with NO luck!! Since then, I have started sewing, crafty, cooking, and organizing!! SO, now, with a little help from the beloved Pinterest, I have lots to blog about!! I just have to get better at taking pictures during a project!
I've been married for a little over 5 yrs now and love being married to the man of my dreams, I have been mom to the most amazing little girl for 3 1/2 years and I have never been much of "housewife". The older I've gotten I realize that I am who I want to be and that is a wife/mother, there is no other ME! When I finally realized that I know that I could reach my full potential! I have just recently started cooking more (not just tacos and spaghetti), I have picked up sewing and LOVE it!!! I also have a Cricut Expression with the Sure Cuts a Lot Program, with which I have started making cards and of course anything personalized with the vinyl! And with the help of Pinterest and all the awesome bloggers out there, my house is cleaner and starting to become organized!
This blog will just be a outlet for all my new obsessions, I need to show them off and where I got all ideas!! I hope you enjoy all the randomness that might come your way!
